Scheduling

TALK runs on two calendars: a School Year calendar and a Summer calendar. Because session times are reserved for your child, holding a time slot over the summer is required to retain that slot for the following school year.

Cancellations

Your session time is held for you, so we ask for notice 24 hours in advance when you need to cancel. Sessions canceled less than 24 hours ahead, outside of emergency or illness, are billed in full. Clients we see at outside facilities or schools must notify TALK directly of an absence; telling the facility is not enough.

Attendance

Consistency is what makes therapy work, so we ask every family to maintain a 90% attendance rate. If attendance falls below 90%, families choose between coming off the schedule or agreeing to pay for 90% of all scheduled sessions going forward.

Ending services

You may end services at any time. TALK may end services when an account is more than 60 days delinquent, after two no-show appointments, when attendance falls below 90%, or when the therapy schedule is not sufficient to produce positive outcomes for your child.

Billing and payment

• · TALK is a private-pay practice and does not accept or file insurance.
• · Invoices are sent by the 5th of each month.
• · Invoices 30 or more days overdue carry a $25 late fee.
• · More than two open invoices on an account suspends services until the account is current.
• · Accounts 60 or more days overdue are sent to collections, with a 15% attorney’s fee added.
• · Returned checks carry a $35 fee.

Rates

Therapy sessions are 30, 45, or 60 minutes. Evaluation rates range from $280 to $925 depending on scope, from a focused articulation evaluation to a comprehensive evaluation for middle school through adult clients. The full fee schedule is available on request, session fees are explained on our fees page, and your child’s exact fees come to you in writing before you commit to anything.

Special arrangements

• · Saturday sessions are available at 1.5 times the standard rate.
• · Sessions delivered at private schools carry a convenience fee of $5 per 30 minutes.
• · Attorney engagement is billed at $370 per hour; court subpoena appearances at $550 per hour.

Payment methods

We accept credit card (through the client portal), check, or cash. For evaluations, credit card payment is due 48 hours before the appointment.

Policy changes and governing law

TALK reserves the right to update these policies, and gives clients advance notice when we do. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, and any dispute is subject to Georgia jurisdiction.
